Aramid provides very high resistance to impact and abrasion and is much more resilient to fracture separation than other reinforcements (including carbon fiber).
Aramid can be laminated in just the same way as carbon fiber. It is suitable for use in wet-lay, vacuum bagging or resin infusion.
For maximum performance Aramid should always be laminated with Epoxy resin.
Due to these unique properties we recommend using specialized shears for cutting. KEVLAR® fibers are difficult to sand and are adversely affected by UV light so it is often buried under fiberglass or other material. All data to be used as a guide only; not a specification.
