Silver Twill Electroplated Fiberglass Cloth

Electroplated Fiberglass Cloth is a composite material that combines the advantages of fiberglass and electroplating. During production, first, high-quality fiberglass filaments are woven into cloth in patterns like plain, twill, or satin, determining its flexibility and strength. Then, the cloth goes through surface pretreatment: degreasing to remove impurities and chemical etching to roughen the surface, improving the adhesion of the electroplated layer.

In the electroplating process, the pretreated cloth is placed in a bath with metal salts, such as copper sulfate or nickel sulfate. An electric current is applied, depositing metal ions onto the cloth to form a thin, even metal layer. The thickness can be adjusted by controlling electroplating time, salt concentration, and current strength.

This material has diverse applications. In electronics, its conductivity and EMI shielding make it suitable for circuit boards and component enclosures, ensuring stable device operation. In aerospace, its lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant features are ideal for aircraft parts, helping with fuel efficiency.
