Aramid UD Sheet Description
Aramid UD (Unidirectional) Cloth is a type of fabric where long aramid fibers are arranged straight and parallel in the matrix material.
Our latest aramid UD cloth is innovatively produced to be roll – formed instead of in separate sheets. This new process allows for more continuous and efficient production, providing greater convenience for subsequent processing.
In the production process, the strength loss of fibers is minimal, enabling the full utilization of the unique advantages of aramid fibers. Aramid UD cloth is known for its high strength, with the strength per unit weight being more than 8 times that of steel. It also has excellent heat resistance, capable of continuous use in a wide temperature range from – 196°C to 380°C.
It is mainly used in the production of soft body armor, providing reliable ballistic protection. Due to its high strength and good heat resistance, it is also suitable for manufacturing high – performance industrial products, such as high – temperature filtration materials, automotive parts (like bumpers), and can be used in aerospace, construction reinforcement, and other fields.
