3K Carbon Fabric Description
Compared with 6K and 12K, 3K carbon fabric has higher elongation and superior strength.
A 3K fabric has 3,000 filaments in each bundle, which is woven together to form the final fabric, making it strong but light weight.
The fabric weighs 160-300 grams per square meter, with plain, twill, and satin weaves available.
Web-lock, also called formed, is a fabric stabilization technique that usually used in 3K 200gsm and 3K 240gsm carbon fabrics to securely bind the fibers together, ensuring the fabric retains its original structure even after folding, wrinkling, or being cut into smaller pieces.
3K carbon fabric is commonly utilized in aerospace, automotive, marine, sports equipment, and other industrial applications.
