Unidirectional Carbon Fabric Description
Different from woven fabrics, unidirectional carbon fiber fabric is manufactured with all carbon fiber running in a single direction.
This fabric can be constructed using 12K or 24K carbon fiber, typically making 200g, 300g and 600g.
The design of unidirectional laying offers much strength and stiffness to the fabric while its weight adds very little.
Significantly, as an alternative to expensive and complex composite materials, UD carbon reinforcement saves much costs for engineers.
UD carbon cloth is mostly applied in bridge and building restoration or reinforcement. Besides, it is also commonly found in aerospace, automotive, bicycles, uavs, robotics, boats, rockets, etc.
